A Frouxeira
A Frouxeira is an extensive sandy beach stretching for almost 4 kilometres, famous for its coastal lagoon, one of the most important in Europe, and its wide dune area rich in flora and fauna. This beach is a paradise for surfers, with multiple peaks scattered along the entire coastline.
Surf Conditions
Tide Conditions: Works best at mid to high tide.
Wave Type: Multiple peaks on both the right and left, with a predominance of the right. The size of the wave increases from west to east.
Swell: Suitable for all swell sizes.
Wind: Optimal conditions with winds from the south, south-east and south-west.
Water Quality: Excellent.
Water Temperature: Between 13°C in winter and 18°C in summer.
Infrastructure and Services
Access: Easy access by car with ample parking, and also has an intercity bus service.
Safety: Safe beach for surfers, with lifeguard services available during the high season.
Services Available: Toilets, showers, litter bins, and a children's play area. The beach also offers access for people with reduced mobility.
