Centro de Interpretación de Caldoval
A museum project in the municipality of Mugardos, A Coruña, which enhances the value of the Roman site discovered in the Santa Lucía inlet. So far, it is the only private baths with a palestra discovered in the northwest of the peninsula. A complex dedicated to hygiene, health, leisure and probably also sports. A rural domestic balneum that formed part of a villa a mare, inhabited between the 1st and 5th centuries AD, during the Roman Empire. Through guided tours and workshops for groups and families you will discover how the inhabitants of Roman Galicia lived and looked after themselves. You will find out how the baths worked; what the use and characteristics of each of the rooms of the thermal circuit were; the clothes the bathers wore; what they did in their leisure time; the sports they practised and their rules, the most popular board games and games of chance, and many other interesting things adapted to any age and type of visitor.
