Vilarrube is a beach located at the bottom of the Cedeira estuary, known for its picturesque and quiet environment. The most prominent wave of this beach is a fast right, generated by the mouth of the river. It is ideal for surfers looking for a fast and exciting wave in a natural and serene environment. The beach is relatively uncrowded, allowing you to enjoy quieter, less contested surf sessions. Surfing conditions:

  • Tidal Conditions: Optimum at low tide.
  • Type of Wave: Long and fast right hand wave.
  • Swell: Works best with a swell above 3 meters.
  • Wind: The best conditions are with winds from the south, southeast and southwest.
  • Surf level: Intermediate to advanced.
  • Background: Sand.
  • Recommended Season: Fall and winter, when waves are more consistent.
  • Water temperature: 16.5°C in winter, 18.3°C in summer; neoprene recommended.
