Sendares - Perimeter circuit

Experience a scenic 48 km route featuring coastal views, a challenging climb to a historic monastery, and diverse trails perfect for hiking or biking.

This track corresponds to the perimeter circuit of the 6 zones. The route starts from Ares, and heads west to later go into the Ferrol estuary, always close to the coast. Once we have reached the mythical Castelo da Palma, we will start the most difficult climb on the route, until we reach the Santa Catalina monastery, at the top of Montefaro. The second part of the route will no longer be along the coast, but will go east through the interior, passing again through Ares, which will act as a node, since the route is in the form of eight. The 48 km can be done at once, or divided into two circuits of 17 and 31 km respectively. It is a route that can be done both on foot and by mountain bike and that runs 40% on asphalt and 60% on dirt trails.
